Marc Vives

I am Marc Vives Muñoz, an artist born in the Sants district of Barcelona in 1978 and now living in the Basque city of Donostia.

My work currently consists in assimilating the characteristic forms of popular festivities and translating them into the language of artistic practice. This explains why my latest creations focus on the Festa Major of Sants, a week-long neighbourhood festival in Barcelona, and the exploitation of leisure on Montjuïc Hill.

I am also co-director of the GRAF project and co-founder of Tractora Koop. E., an artists’ cooperative modelled on trucker coops.
