Pedro G.Romero

“There’s a radical treatment of poetics in my work, but I’ve always been a materialist at heart. In a world dominated by merchandise, giving up the actual production of objects, things or junk is a choice that has more to do with a kind of ethos—a Franciscan ethos, if you will—than with a conceptualist stance. I’ve always tried to be as controversial as possible, in the sense of protesting or voicing disapproval of the very thing I’m doing.”
