Marisa Maza

Marisa Maza uses video and photography to create new space in her installations.

Since the early 1990s, her artistic discourse has essentially reflected on the concepts of identity, gender and migratory movements and their political, social and cultural constructs, as well as how they are represented in the media. More specifically, her work explores the notion of the “individual-body” as a projection screen and investigates different types of urban landscapes, whether real, fictional or simulated.
