Cabello/Carceller

The creative duo Cabello/Carceller was formed in the early 1990s. Together they have developed a cross-disciplinary oeuvre that underscores the importance of constructing or rewriting collective policies and poetics from the perspective of divergent subjectivities. Their art highlights the need to study interstitial experiences, reviewing sexual and gender policies to question the hegemonic modes of representation in visual practices and propose critical alternatives.
