Ana Barriga

I think of myself as a hunter who picks and chooses the best of society’s discarded objects. I alter the objects in a playful way, using sarcasm and irony to mitigate the seriousness of subjects I find relevant, such death, sexuality or religion. The way I manipulate the objects, paint and efface my own painting, illustrates my conception of the creative act and perhaps of life itself.
